패스트푸트 체인점 버거킹이 3월 15일 부터 파격적인 커피 프로모션 월 5달러를 내면 매일 커피 한 잔을 제공하는 ‘BK 카페 가입(BK Cafe coffee subscription)’ 서비스를 시작했다.
프로그램 가입은 버거킹 앱을 통해 가능하며 가입자에게는 온라인으로 쿠폰이 제공된다. 이 쿠폰은 당일 사용해야 하며 남에게 양도는 불가능하다.
또한 오전 11:59까지 사용해야 한다.
제공되는 커피는 레귤러 커피 스몰 사이즈에 한하며 아이스커피나 프라페 제품은 제외된다.
가입 후 한 달간 매일 마신다고 가정할 경우 커피 한 잔 가격은 17센트에 불과한 셈이다.
이 프로그램은 알래스카와 하와이주, 푸에르토리코를 제외한 전국에서 이용이 가능하다.
전문가들은 버거킹이 맥도날드와 스타벅스를 견제하면서 신규 프로묘선으로 고객을 유치함으로써 커피이외의 다른 메뉴를 선택해서 매출증진을 유도하는 전략이라는 분석이다.
Coffee Subscription Benefits. When accepted, we will charge the billing method provided by you (your “Payment Method”) on a monthly basis for your ability to access the Coffee Subscription benefits, which currently permits you to receive one (1) small cup of brewed hot coffee at any participating BURGER KING® restaurant each day during the corresponding month for which your payment was made (“Daily Coffee Coupon”). Specialty, iced, frappe and other coffee beverages are not included in the Coffee Subscription Program. Daily Coffee Coupon expires every day at 11:59 PM. Any unused Daily Coffee Coupon is considered forfeited, and will not be refunded or carried over to the next day. Not valid on delivery orders. We reserve the right at any time and in our sole discretion to verify a subscriber’s eligibility and compliance with these Subscription Terms, including but not limited to, ensuring that the Coffee Subscription is not being used for a commercial purpose. There is a limit of one Coffee Subscription per person. BKC reserves the right to change, modify or terminate the Coffee Subscription benefits at any time, in its sole discretion.
